Windsurfing: Felixstowe-Dip Wind Direction: SSE-SSW Wind Stength: enough to loads Surf / Sea State: great Air Temperature: 15-20 Sea Temperature: 20.8 Weather: Rain-cloud-sun Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Went down mid-morning and rigged 76/4.7m. Took ages to try my way through
bad shore dump, getting washed ashore and watching James damage his
board:-(.
Got out once and found 4.7m not enough, fell in on first gybe holing sail
as I later found then some nice rides and turns before landing at Golf in
onshore wind. Rain was heavy and surreal sailing through foot high mist as
heavy rain bounced up.
Waited ages before trying again as shore dump got even worse then after
high tried again. Strawberry appeared and was well over powered on 4.7m
with only 1 turn coming off and out of practice on short stuff. Frustrating
as sea was fantastic with big smooth roller.
Down to 4.2m and Strawb down to 4m and Paul S turned up just as sun shone.
Even 4.2m was a bit much at times but fantastic time, overpowered early on
then perfect before wind swung off and died, knackered by then anyway. Even
tried a few jumps, a few came off :-). 3* early on and 5* later so 4*
overall.
